I don't get it, my session setup is wav interleaved but sill when I import a stereo audio file it comes up as two mono tracks in my session. What am I missing?? PTHD 10.3.10

don't remember this on top of my head, but is there a tick box in the import window?

Re: Stereo file imported as two mono?
Nope. I see I have a 2 channel 44100 file and when I copy it over it comes up as two separate mono tracks

I'm just guessing because I don't have PT10 at hand right now

But then I tried something I never do, I just dragged the stereo audio file from Finder to Edit window and now the automatically created track in PT is stereo! I NEVER drag and drop any audio into session like that, but looks like this is the only workaround in this situation. Looks like a bug to me to be honest. |

Looks similar to what's reported in this thread

I have noticed the same behavior. Too bad because I like the Import Audio dialogue particularly as a means to audition through the Avid hardware. Now, once auditioned, I need to back out and drag the file to my session. Good point to make! Peter
