New Computer And New Setup
I haven't upgraded from PT 10 yet and I think I'm going to pull the trigger very soon. Currently using an HD3 system with an HD i/o 16x16 but I think I'm going to whittle it down cause I won't be doing much work besides beat making, demo vocals, and light mixing work.
I'm thinking about going with the UAD Twin Quad Thunderbolt as my interface. I'll be using an iMac with a 3.5Ghz Intel Core i5. It currently only has 8 GB of RAM but can be upgraded to 32GB. What do you guys think about this setup? Would you upgrade anything or change anything? |

Re: New Computer And New Setup
You're going to love being Native after mixing on the old HD systems. At a minimum, put 16GB RAM in the Mac. You'll be stressed out with only 8GB. If you can upgrade to i7, do it, but the i5 should be okay.
