Midi audio setup not show avid hdx input

Rebaz - i never look at Private messages so i reply here .. same thing .. i enclosed the pro tools compatibility chart here .. you look like you have the correct versions ..

lets try again ..

if you have HDX - we assume it shows up in pro tools just fine ?? or not ?? YOu Have Answered Yes to this Question BUT with No Inputs ..

You Seem to KNow where the I/O setup is in Pro Tools - so, click on input tab at the top and select Default below on the left .. what happens ?? do you see inputs now ?? Yes or NO .. ??? if yes, then continue reading below .. if NO .. then you will need to startup Pro Tools holding the "N" Key and select your HD hardware .. Now what happens ??

Next if Yes above, - as Albee mentioned - are you Correctly Connected with Cables from the C24 Outputs to the HD 16x16 ?? yes, cool - do you now see INput from a Source through the C/24 and HD hardware ??? NO, check your C/24 routing or setup ..

anyone - is there a Driver for C/24 that Rebaz may NOT have doen correctly .. i do not own one of these .. ????



may i ask what exactly you are trying to do with core-audio ???

This is just a punt but maybe he is trying to get the C24 inputs and outputs in PT thinking that they would pop up under i/o which would require a whole different knowledge to set up.

I am just guessing of course but if that is the case he needs to understand that the i/o inPT will only show the 16X16 ins and outs, not the C24 preamps.

PS. There is no "external" driver for C24 as it is included in the PT protocol and would be plug and play assuming set up correctly with digi snakes etc

christopher, so you think Rebaz is trying to connect the C/24 via Ethernet and NOt the Analog connections to his 16x16 I/O ?? and expecting the C/24 to show up in the I/O setup page .. interesting .. lets see what he says when he returns .. Albee was asking him if he had the analog connections and we did not see a reply yet ..

C/24 - uses Ethernet for Controlling Pro Tools (faders, buttons, etc) ???

i did not see any other connections in a rear picture .. no midi .. has to talk to the computer somehow i assume through RJ45 ..
