Default Manual Automation Editing

Greetings All,

During the process of mixing a track and having written the appropriate volume automation to it, I find the need to adjust the overall volume of the track keeping the automation already written. There is a lot of detail in the volume timeline of this track. I was hoping to select all the points and move them. I select them but cannot find a command that moves the whole selection.

So, I am in need of a command that alters ALL of the selected automation points. I can alter one point by itself but am unable to select more than one and move them as a group.

Assistance would be much appreciated.

Please excuse my ignorance if there is an easy solution. I have not been able to find it to date.

The best,

Trim tool, with volume automation playlist showing, click and drag anywhere to the right of the last breakpoint will move it all.

There are actually a few options for this. For adjusting the volume line(with all its automation intact), zoom out so the entire song fits on the EDIT window. Grab the volume line AFTER the last break point and drag up/down.

Option 2-Drew's Trim tool

Option 3-open the last plugin on that track and adjust its output up/down

Option 4-insert a TRIM plugin after the current last insert and adjust the TRIM plugin output.

Option 5- if you have no dynamic plugins on the track, you could just Clip Gain it up/down.

Option 6-(you don't need any more options)

Many thanks Drew & Albee. Yes the trim tool works exactly how I wanted to do it. I do have many dynamic plugs involved, so it would be absurd to get into clip gain. The trim tool keeps the proportions aligned.
