Can't get Windows XP to install Mbox Mini for Pro Tools 8 installation
Hey friends,
I am having a prob over here in Canada. I have uninstalled PT 7.4 LE to make way for Pro Tools 8. But when I try to install it, it doesn't want to install my Mbox Mini. Says Hardware Installation failed. Missing drivers, it would seem. Is there anything I can do to repair this problem? I notice that there is a Digidesign folder still on my computer with drivers in it. Can I place the new drivers there, and where would I get them, if so? Thanks for your helping hands! The PT8 disk includes an uninstall utility. Have you tried running that? BTW, do it with the Mbox disconnected and don't reconnect it until the PT8 installer asks for it. Maybe re-read the install instructions to as PT needs to have the install instructions followed to the "T". I had to uninstall twice on my last build before I got it right.
