PT9 problem recognizing my 003 Rack

I am using PT9 and use a MacBook Pro with a 003 Rack (connected via firewire). All has been well but when I went to set up for a session today PT isn't "seeing" the 003 at all anymore. It's defaulting to the internal I/O set up (4 tracks). The "1394 Sync" light on the 003 is NOT lighting up either (although the green light on the back of the 003 is lighting up when I plug in the FireWire). I went into the Hardware set-up and it's showing "0 inputs / 0 outputs" under the 003 in the hardware list.

Also, prior to the breakdown I disconnected the MacBook and used it stand alone with PT via the internal mic input. Once I reconnected to my 003 rack it ceased to recognize the 003 and is defaulting to the internal 4 track I/O.

I would appreciate any thoughts regarding fixing my problem....

Try this...

On the menu bar, select SETUP, PLAYBACK ENGINE, and make sure that you have Digidesign 003 selected in the CURRENT ENGINE window.

Totally fixed...first time I tried I bypassed the reset (don't ask). Second time I tried I did what it told me to do (incredible advice) and it worked like a charm!
