Anyone using PT 11.3.2 with El Capitan 10.11

I know it's not technically supported by Avid (but what on earth does that mean anyway?!)

But is anyone running 11 smoothly or otherwise on anything above Yosemite?

There is a reason OSX 10.11.x is called ElCrapitan; it's probably one of the worst OSX releases ever. There's plenty of evidence here with people having bizarre issues on it. You'd be better off going backwards to Yosemite.

You DO have a clone of your system you can go back to right?

Haven't upgraded yet. Have no interest in paying over £1000 to go to PT12...but I can't take advantage of many free updates for things like logic and Native Instruments etc unless I move on from Yosemite

It's a $299 upgrade from PT11 not €1000 so get thenew version and goto Sierra straight out which will work just fine. Any version below 12.8.2 works great. 12.8.2 has somelagging andother bug fixes to be done but 12.4 and 12.8.1 are very stable and good versions.

Most of NI will run quite nicely in Yosemite; the only thing that requires ElCrapitan or higher is the various Maschine products.

I thought you asked about running PT11.3.2 in ElCrapitan? Seems like you moved beyond Yosemite already.

Upgrading from PT11HD to PT12HD is over £1000 not including tax if you are not already on a subscription plan. It's a joke

and Maschine has needed El Capitan or above for a while now

Ahhh Sorry. Thought you meant non HD12 but yeah .. 1000 bucks is a bit steep. Here in sweeen it is over 1400 Dollars withall the taxesand whatnot which is a new Live9 Suite and a Push2 bundle every year
