Default DAE Error 9126....any help appreciated

Hello all,
Running PT LE 8.0.4
Mac 10.6.8
External Hardrive Via Firewire
....and all has been good for many years.
This week when I have tried to open some PT Projects (in particular projects from a couple of years ago) I see a DAE Error Message 9126 (please see link). I have read many threads on this topic today but none that identify a solution. Any thoughts or solutions greatly appreciated and much karma coming your way.https://www.dropbox.com/s/vohczsb3bv...error.jpg?dl=0
Many thanks
Mike
