Default Is it possible to rescan plugins?

After this Post,
Im with a Pro tools 9 without my Instruments and Plugs. This is really bad,
Is there any way I can rescan my system as in (the reliable) Nuendo and get my Plugins back or I need to reinstall all my tools?

This process is VERY time consuming.

Thank you

Delete your Prefs. This will cause the plugs to rescan

I did that.
Only the Pro tools plugs are back - nothing of the komplete 7 or any other 3rd party plugin is recognize by the pro tools.

why is that?

I made a system restore that wasnt helping at all..

Now- what I supposed to do?

You may have deleted the entire DAE folder or the Plug-in folder within the DAE folder. When you reinstalled the update it only added PT stock plugins.

Check the Plug-ins folder in the DAE folder. If no 3rd party plugs are there then that's most likely what happened.

BTW, if you want true "system restore" get Acronis True Image 2011 and keep a clone and/or backups of your drive.

Yes,

The DAE is empty.

Do I need to reinstall everything?

I'd uninstall PT then do a clean install. For your 3rd party plugins you should only need to reinstall the RTAS plugins for them, not the libraries. Next time just delete the DAE Preference folder within the DAE folder.

Basically, yes. You have to run all your 3rd party plug-in/VI installers to get necessary .dpm files into the DAE Plug-ins folder.
