Don't know if this is news but I received this email from Sound Toys:
"With the recent announcement of the pending release of Pro Tools 11 a lot of questions about AAX are popping up, so here's the scoop from our side. We're deep in development for AAX native and hope to get it into a public beta soon. Our goal is to have a solid official release before Pro Tools 11 hits the streets."

Anyone have an update on Soundtoys regarding AAX - I recently considered Echoboy but didn't go for it to avoid the risk of having to quickly pay for an upgrade?

I have heard they will provide the upgrade to existing folks but to be honest I would pay for the upgrade if there was a fee - I love the Echoboy THAT much!

I wonder what will become of soundblender, purepitch, and pitchdoctor. They've always said that it was unlikely we'd ever see an rtas version of them, but I wonder if they will reconsider now that AAX is out.

That would be sweet

All three of them were used in our studio before we sold our TDM system and we miss those plugins as they are as good as any of the soundtoys plugins ..

Let's hope your guess is right and we get an option to include them in our Native V4 bundle we use. I would pay extra to use them again

Sounds like a good choice - just didn't want to purchase it and find myself paying for the upgrade a few days later considering they announced it would be released roughly in time with the release of PT11. I did e-mail them but they didn't commit to a free upgrade, something I've seen small developers do before if only to get the sale.

I'm now keen to get a decent set of tools for PT11 - judging by developer comments/announcements, quite a few are expected to drop soon (apparently Toontrack EZdrummer + Izotope Ozone last night). Main ones (for me) for which my expectations are low are Lexicon (also wrote to them but, whilst commited to AAX, they provided no timescales) and Slate, who don't have the best record for releasing product 'on time' but maybe their new plugin framework (used for VBC, which I just bought even though it's not AAX 64-bit yet!) will help?! I understand Slate will not be charging either.

Edit - I picked up the Toontrack EZdrummer information from another thread but it looks like it's Superior Drummer for now (Toontrack stated that these will all be out within a couple of weeks and are apparently releasing products as they become available)
