Default Anticipation...

While I am glad to see that PT11 apparently runs fine on my unsupported 1,1 MacPro running Lion with a 002, I'm still dead in the water while I wait for the makers of my most-used plugs to go AAX!

Sorry, this is a pointless post. Just felt good to vent into the cosmos!

As you were.

Hi Eric

Do you really have PT11 running "perfectly" on a 1,1 Mac Pro? How is that possible and have you tried larger sessions even without the Long Awaited Plugins and Virtual Instruments? We have a 1,1 Mac Pro 2024 GB RAM and 2XSSD 256 Samsung Pro 840's and I thought it was a "Dead Mac" in regards to Pro Tools 11HD/11. We just invested in a 12 core Mac Pro as we didn't think that the oldie was up for anything else than running Logic on..

Sorry for the side post but lot's of members have been asking exactly this so ..

Best Regards
Christopher

And PS. I totally agree the wait is frustrating but we are getting there

Yup! So far so good. I saw someone else post that they had it running, so I gave it a shot with the demo version. I loaded a 24-track session, but hardly any plugs, and it ran flawlessly. I'll have to start loading it down with plugs and see what happens.

Apparently all the unsupported stuff is just that. Unsupported, Doesn't mean it won't work. They just won't guarantee anything.

I hope it works for you! At least well enough to do some basic session stuff.
