Default Re: Sample Tank XL??

Hello yavuzj,
I bought SampleTank XL a few weeks ago and over-all I am very pleased with its ease of use and sound quality. Another great thing is that it you can install both the VST version for use in Logic and the RTAS version in PT, so you can easily transfer sequences back and and forth from Logic or Cubase, to Protools.
My only complaints are:
1:) Limited editing capabilities. This is not always a bad thing, as most of the stock presets are good. But if you feel the need to tweak the sounds, you can only adjust basic envelope and filter settings.
2:) No BPM effects as in the VST version, so have your calculator handy to figure out your delay times.
3:) The AKAI converter is **** . No batch conversion, or whole CD conversions. It is also very slow and the results are questionable.

All in all you get what you pay for and so far, tech support has been very reliable and quick in response. I also bought the Sonic Reality Sonic Synth Library and it is loaded with fantatsic sounds. Latency is also very minimal. CPU not very intensive unless you are using sounds that require high amounts of polyphony. SampleTank is still in its infant stages but for being what it is, I really enjoy this program.
