Corrupt Virtual Instruments installer

Yesterday I drove over to Orlando to "buy" a crossgrade Installer for Pro Tools 10. Got back home and proceeded to download it all. So far everything is great running on this iMAc 27/ 16 GB RAM/SSD internal...HOWEVER....
The Virtual Instruments installer ,after download, will not expand..., a pop up window says the file is corrupted. A second download attempt yielded the same results. Has anyone here had a similar experience ? Am I doing something wrong ? Knock on wood, all my other programs, Altiverb, Miroslav Philharmonic, SampleTank, EZ Drummer and several audio processing plugins have made the migration without issue. Anytime you make one of these moves, you're bound to run into issues along the way. Aside from this virtual instruments thing, I have to say This version of Pro Tools, even running with an aging 002r, has exceeded my general expectations.

I've been having the same problem. I just got PT10 and I've downloaded the virtual instruments installer a couple times, but it keeps saying it's corrupt when I try to install it. Have you found out a solution yet?

Is this the "Avid Virtual Instruments 10 Installer (Mac) 2783.02 MB" from your Avid account? I'm actually downloading this right now myself to install PT10 on a Mac Pro and will let you know my results.

What specific version of OS X and Browser are you using?

Okay, so Avid_Virtual_Instruments_10_Installer_73465.dmg downloaded, expanded, and installed correctly, so it doesn't appear to be the file itself.

I'm running Firefox 8.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.2.

Hi,

If the installer is corrupt. Then make sure to delete the corrupt .dmg file and make sure it is also deleted from your downloads folder. Empty the trash, repair disk permissions and reboot before downloading it again.

Also try logging in from another user account!

Also check privilidges on the .img file. Right click and make us it is set to read and write for all users.
