how do i create this effect?

hi, I'm writing this song, and I've got an idea for the bridge where everything is still playing the same but the sound is very narrow and it gradually gets wider and bigger, sort of like if you play a song through your phone pointing the speaker to your mouth and open and close your mouth it makes it becomes wider and narrower, iv heard it in songs before, does anyone know how to re-create this effect?

Sounds like you're describing a resonant high-pass filter with an automated cutoff frequency. BOZ Digital makes one called Bark of Dog (you can use almost any EQ) . All you need to do is automate it, have the cutoff free sweep up and down over time.

Another thought, maybe just a Wah pedal effect will work, which is basically a high-pass or band-pass version of what I mentioned in my above comment.

Try automating the AirKill EQ. Sweep thru frequencies.

In Laymans terms...Drag the filter at the top right corner of channel strip to the left and right to cut off, and bring back the frequencies. . .sweeping. :) Likewise then do a pass on the same filter on the opposite side to add and remove bass.
