Default Dshow Control via IPAD

Hey all'

Looking for recomendations for...

1. The best/fastest VNC app for ipad control of a Dshow

and

2. The best hardware. Access point vs Wireless Router???

Playing alot of theaters this year with....less than charitable FOH positions. Gonna need some remote power.

Thanks!

+1 iTeleport

Most wifi routers should work fine. My personal preference is any router that will take DDWRT (http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index) custom firmware. It is solid and has just about any feature you'd look for in a router.

So what am I doing wrong? I have an iPad2, am using iTeleport but for some reasons I cannot "grab" the GEQ sliders on the screen in order to EQ wedges. Is there some setting I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

-Brad

I have a Ipad and Dell XT tablet, I work with Dell tablet, is easier with the pencil, that the finger.
I sorry but I detest the VNC system, I think it should be a standalone software, like others mixers.

Make sure you have the iTeleport set to "touch screen" mode. Then double tap and hold/drag on the sliders to manipulate them. I too am bumming on the VNC control. Control resolution is poor compared to a well thought out control app and it's easy to make errors. I do hope Avid is working on a real app of some sort for control. It would be great to have workspaces for different things so when you're focused on a channel or bus you could dial up the parameter you want to work on so it's large and easy to manipulate.

Can you explain a bit more about the benefits of ddwrt? The website is a little vague as about the benefits of changing firmware, especially for Dshow vnc.

Thanks.

Man, I know some folks are happy with it, but until I see a dedicated application, I'm sticking with a Lake Tablet. No you can't mix, but you can do all your tuning flawlessly.

DDWRT allows a knowledgeable user to fine tune the performance of the router/access point.
