Good mic and good positioning. I doubt you overloaded the mic with signal. Could be a picking issue or even something in the way the guitar is set up.

Yea I was kind of thinking it could be a picking issue I’ll do a little more experimenting and look into if it could be how the guitar is set up, thanks again
