How to configure Akai 249 for M-Audio SP-2 sustain pedal in Pro Tools First

My computer is an Acer tc 885 ACCFLi5 desktop pc. Win 10 64 bit. I should mention I am new to midi controllers and don't really know how to navigate the functions on the keyboard. Any input is much appreciated,thanks.

Sustain pedals work directly with the keyboard/controller. Once the keyboard is setup inside Pro Tools; Setup>Midi>Midi Studio, any pedals will work(or not) regardless of PT settings. Some keyboards use a sustain pedal that is N.O.(Normally Open), some use a pedal that is N.C.(Normally Closed) and some keyboards can use either if you connect the pedal before turning the keyboard on(IOW, the keyboard senses which kind of pedal is connected and sets itself to use that pedal). Check the manual for the keyboard and see what kind of pedal it requires. Some pedals can be switched to work either way, but if its the incorrect pedal for your keyboard, you will need to go get the correct style
