What about all the other cases then, RTFM?
1. My iLok is working fine. 2. Drivers have installed fine. 3. Checked every USB port on my machine. 4. Disabled AV software (KIS), even turned on DEP for all programs and services ... and still got no love from PT 10. I submitted a support ticket to Avid and am awaiting their reply. |

I understand, thanks for celaring that up.
I shall just wait for a reply from Avid and see if they can come up with some sort of solution to this problem. I am still confused about the fact, that PACE just fobbed me off and advised me to contact Avid instead. I may be wrong, but from the looks of it, the problem lies on PACE's side, not Avid's. |

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply.
PM me your e-mail address' or send them to jamesbaxterse -at- live.co.uk and I shall forward them to you :) The attached .exe that PACE sent me is the LicenseSupportService which Pro Tools failed to install and run, hence it could never find my iLok. Open Task Manager, and check to see if Pace License Support Service is running. (its actually a process, not a service) if it's not, I bet my e-mail will fix it for you... |

I've just sent you an email. Double checked the task manager - no Pace License Support Service is running on my machine. Hopefully your email will fix this. Avid's support is being very slow in responding to my ticket. Thanks. |

Seems that I managed to work it out myslef...
PACE Licesnse Support file is apparently not included in PT10 installation file for Windows or it just didn't install properly (at least that's what I understand). So I ran PT9 installation, which has this PACE file included. Pro Tools installed and launched without any problems. Good sign... I then uninstalled PT leaving the other components untouched (except for an old AVID HD driver). Finally installed PT10 and voila - it launched wit no hassle. Happy days! TheJamsh, thanks for the clues. Avid - shame on you. Still didn't get any answer from you. |

No problem, good thing you solved it!
It seems the problem only occurs if you have to totally annihilate PT9 from your system. Avid really botched the PT10 installer if you ask me... |

Yes, it does seem weird... Avid recommends a clean install, but it won't work since they obviously forgot to include that little bugger in PT10 Setup file. Good to be back up and running!! Cheers.
