Control 24 & Digi 002; trying to use 16 tracks

I recently acquired a Focusrite OctoPre 8-channel Microphone Preamp and installed the Lightpipe ADAT Option. I connected outs 9-16 from Control 24 to the OctoPre via 25 pin connector, and have a lightpipe connecting the OctoPre to the 002. I get nothing. 1-8 are great 9-16 are silent. Can anybody help with my struggle?

I hope you're not running your signal through C24 pre's. No need to amplify sound 2 times. Check if OctoPre is properly sync'd with Digi002 in Setup>Hardware menu in PT. See if Octopre is locked to master clock source which is your Digi002.

I'm using a Presonus digiMax via lightpipe into my 002. I had to get some XLR "Y"cables made to get it to work well. There was a serious noise problem (probably due to series chaining pre-amps. The "Y" cables solved the problem. You can probably go direct into your Octopre as the 002 should route the enabled input to your C|24

Big Brute cords was very reasonable and quick... and no problems "splitting" the signal. The "Y's solved a routing problem as I my studio is hardwired and inputs in the studio are not always routed into the Presonus

You can also use a patchbay instead of a Y cables, lot more flexible and convenient with lots of splitting/routing options.

Thanks for the post. I'm still having trouble. I'm sending audio signal to Channels 9-16 to the Octopre and have a lightpipe out to 002. Tracks 1-8 are coming from Control 24 via 25 pin connector to 002. What am I missing? I'm confused about the Y cables and Patchbay suggestions...thanks

In the session are you choosing your input as ADAT , since your using lightpipe into the 002? Hardware setup make you have choosen Adat,,,,,,,and choose external clock.
