Default Where's the Disk Cache

I have been running PT9 for 2 years , no prob, I bought the boxed version of 10 ,with new ilok, did a complete / clean install on a new SSD,New Ilok mang, etc,
It all works but the complete Music Package , that enables disk cashe option, is not showing up in playback engine menu,
The auth, is on the new 2nd gen Ilok, copyed it from my old Ilok, I have followed the Ilok inst. to the letter, go there/ wait/ sing in, wait, synq/ repair/ wait, all is good, all plugs work,,, But NO DISK cashe, what am I missing,I understand you need the CMPT auth on your Ilok for those options to work in native PT10,
Thanks in advance, this ones got me , I usually work things out, no matter how painful. in order to lean, but this time, I am stumped,
Help!

As far as I'm aware, Disk Cache is only available with HD version or with CPTK.

I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong.

I just re-read your post & realized you already know that. I'm afraid I'll have to let someone else have a go at this one....good luck

Have you assigned any memory to the cache (Setup/Preferences/Playback Engine)? It needs to be on anything other than 'Normal'.

Sorry - I've just re-read your post too! You have no option in the playback engine.

Are you able to create a VCA track?

Sounds like the CPTK isn't being recognised.

Hi Sofakat. You have Music Production Toolkit - this does not unlock the disk cache, Complete Production Toolkit will in PT10 vanilla but it was end of lifed some time ago. Best bet is to see if you can buy CPTK2 second hand. In PT11, disk cache needs an HD authorisation to unlock it.

Out of curiosity, how do you know it's the MPTK? That didn't work with PT 9 either. But the CPTK 1 and 2 should unlock the HD features in 9 and 10. I'm just curious how you knew lol, cause I re-read it a few times and couldn't see that. Again just curious that's all.

He is right,,,I have the MPTK then upgraded it so it worked in PT9,,
Now I have 10 and I am sorry I did not look into it futher, I only upgraded to take advantage of disk cashe, 9 was very stable,
10 is not so much, so far,, and no disk cashe,
I would have been nice of Avid to include this feature in all verssions of 10,
(But I know better then to beat on a dead horse,)
It was my mistake to not do more research on it,just got excited,
I bought this on the 17th, will I qualify for an 11 upgrade?
Thanks everyone for all the advise ,
