Default Help! volume send info driving me mad.

Hi,

Why can't volume and pan send information be disabled permanently on tracks?

I can't stop volume information being sent permanently to my samplers/synths! i have tried control+option+click to disable volume send but when i re-load the session it enables itself again!! this is also the case with pan! i get all my instruments panned to where i want and it centres them all.

so everytime i start the track it re-sets all my volume settings etc, this is on sampletank and other multi channel instrument where i have multiple sounds playing on the same channel with different volume levels! i get them balanced to how it sounds right and then when i re-load the session it sets them all back to equal settings.

Chris

Don’t know what you’re using in your setup, but some interfaces (I’m thinking of MOTU, in particular) allow specific MIDI data to be filtered on a port-by-port and/or channel-basis.

Automation data for midi tracks is stored within the midi regions, all except mute. You can, if your sampler/synth have this feature, turn off "respond to CC#7" in each sampler/synth setup.
