Looking to replace/upgrade my current system (see signature) since my pixelation issue back in 2014??? Thinking I should go Laptop so I can do stuff on the move.

Any ideas on whether there are Black Friday deals out there or should I scour eBay etc. for a mint used one? Am thinking to stay with a MacBook unless folks suggest otherwise.

Thanks all, in advance -- hope your expertise/experience will get me better value and making music quicker than I have the last 2+ years

I'm still in K9 regular and most of what's available in the latter Komplete series I already have save for the new pianos and Reaktor 6. There's nothing in R6 that I need. And the pianos don't grab me either. Was hoping for Kontakt 6 but looks like that ain't going to happen any time soon. If I cough up for anything substantial this year it's going to be UVI Falcon. And maybe a great sax library that covers all four saxes.

Yeah I'd stay with a MacBook (Pro) for sure and look for a clean one from eBay or similar. Apple aren't offering much in the UK Black Friday deals and they are new sales anyhow. New is a great option if you can afford it but you'll save a pile if you get a second hand machine.

If you need more screen real estate then an external screen via HDMI looks a cheap way to get acres of display.
