It does seem so.

I’ve just seen the new Studio One 4.5 update coming & the features they’ve added seems to me like their gunning for PT particularly the disgruntled users.

Avid need to take note & get bug fixes sorted plus features to stave off the competition.

That may be their undoing in some respects. I know Avid have a loyal user base, but that could start shrinking if they stay complacent.

I would love Avid to add more requested features quicker with bug fixes, then I would be that loyal user. But it becomes hard to stay loyal when basic workflow functionality as this thread is about is not there & the competition has so much to offer.

Come on Avid, pull your finger out

yep! my workaround is: quantize before every copy/paste
after quantizing it works but even if you copy/paste 5min later the same thing you have to quantize again

Since PT 12 it happens on midi clips as well. While on audio material this is not a issue given that you could lose maybe one sample (yes, it creates new clip with +n
) on midi clips sometimes they loses the first note/chord when copying them. The only workaround I found is to copy by cmnd+c and cmnd+v. Very annoying.

But then why I never met this guy ? Probably because I never use midi clips (I am always in notes view with midi) ?

You are probabily right, but handling midi without clips it's not comfortable, especially when assembling the song.

No, believe me, it's just a question of different habits...
Also, for me, if I had to move/copy/repeat/double/etc. midi clips, I would never be 100% sure that all the notes are correctly moved, unless it's all 100% quantized
