Default Error Message 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Hi everybody

I use Pro Tools everyday in my studio, and never had any major problems, but on my last upgrade I've done PT 11.3 to
PT 12.3.0 when I edit some audio or just trying to open a plugin, unexpected dialogue box appears with error msg

Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
"Ok" or "Copy to clipboard"

Then, Pro Tools crashes and I can't send crashlog to Avid!
Ctrl+Alt+Del to quit PT
Anyone could help?

You don't have a co-install on the system do you?

Sorry, but what do you mean?
I just did uninstall everything pt, drivers, plugins, virtual instruments and then I install a new version PT 12.3.0

Yeah ok then no co-install

Co-install was when you had 2 versions of Pro tools installed on the same computer

Sometimes trashing preferences and uninstalling Pro Tools completely (make sure everything is gone) will help some some issues, like the one you are having.

Follow the steps with the link that YYR123 provided, if that does not work move on to the next plan.

Uninstall Pro Tools completely, remove drivers etc. Use the following link (below) to get an app for your appropriate Operating System that will help clean any files left from the Pro Tools uninstaller. Once those two steps are complete, re-install Pro Tools 12.3 and any audio drivers you are using.

You can also try the app first before removing everything again to see if the app itself solves the issue you are having.
