Will speakers mess up my monitor?
I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. I've been using some consumer speakers (Hitachi Stereo) to amplify and monitor my mixes. I have them set right next to my Sony Triniton Monitor. The monitor works fine with the speakers next to it. No vibrations or bad picture. I'm wondering, if this will change in the long run? I don't know if these speakers are near-field. I'm trying to save money by adjusting my mixes for what these speakers lack interims of an accurate mix. Will I mess up my monitor in the long run? Anyone have experience with this, Thanks

Re: Will speakers mess up my monitor?
Normally, the oppisite is true: the magnetic field from your speakers can create either temporary proximity distortion or actually permanently damage the video quality in your monitor.
If you see no video distortion, my guess is you're pretty safe. ------------------ LW
