Default Books

Can anyone recommend a good book on using Pro Tools LE and the MBox or recording? I have a MabBook Pro (unfortunately PT LE will not work with the Now Leopard), MBox2 with Pro Tools 6.8.1 (which I plan to update to the new 8.0.1), an old recorder/mixer that I use for a mixing board, etc.
Any information on good books and how you guys got started and learned recording would be greatly appreciated.

The "Ignite" series has great books on PTLE, Reason, Logic, Reaper, etc. Great series of books. You can get them online or from Barnes and Noble or Borders

"Producing In The Home Studio With Pro Tools" by David Franz. Be sure to get the THIRD EDITION as it comes with a DVD which has video tutorials as well as some recording sessions to play with.

Very well written, down to earth and easy to understand. Also has a lot of information on the basics of recording in general. Should be perfect for what you're looking for. I got mine on amazon.com.

Thanks guys. I will check out those books and most likely will purchase them online through Amazon since they do free shipping after a certain amount.
As I may have mentioned, I am very new to sound recording and editing and definitely need to learn it for video production work and even for recording my music I write.
