Digi 002 rack firewire port not working
I can't get any firewire connection between my 002 and my computer. When pluging in the firewire cable the LED on the back near the port lights up for one second, then it immediately goes off. The 1394 LED also remains unlit. I've swapped firewire cables, and also tried connecting my Digi 002 to my laptop and it will not connect. I'm using PT 7.1 with a iBook. I'm getting power to the unit but no firewire connectivity. My unit has never been dropped, moved, or abused so the port is physical intact (not lose). Please help!

Sounds like the infamous power harness problem.
Contact Digidesign tech support and they will determine if it is indeed the harness problem, and fix you right up if it is.
