Default SPDIF OUT ISSUE ON 001

Recently purchased a new PC (AMD ATHLON 64BIT 3700), with a Tascam FW-1884. I installed my Digi-001 card, software, and interface. I downloaded the HUI drivers from the Digidesign website and installed those in the correct folder. During my first session, I could monitor the output from the SPDIF OUT of the 001 through the SPDIF IN of the FW-1884.

On my next session, the audio from the SPDIF OUT vanished. I did not make any routing changes. I did not make any hardware changes. Audio was available through the headphone jack. Eventually, I connected the 001 to the 1884 via the 1/4" monitor outs.

My question is...what happened?

If you need more info, let me know.

Thanks.
