drumagog making odd "digital" noise in Record mode?PTsetting?glitch?

ive had this problem in the past once, it fixed itself somehow during the session if i remember correctly.......my gog plays the normal sample when i tap or click on the drum icon,it triggers correctly when i "play" mode, but when in record mode, it had a very "digital and robotic" sample noise. im sure my setting are the same as always. im experienced with gog and PT. im running 7.3.1 on a white macbook w mbox2pro. im using slate gogs via usb lacie quadra external (never had a problem)the session is 24/44.1........ive restarted my mac, closed session, erased digi folders, etc......does anyone have this glitchy noise? cheers and thanks in advance.
