Default Large audio files being created

Hi all. I had an issue on a system i was working on. I was using quickpunch on an HD|2 system and it kept creating these large files. They would be the same size everytime like 1.98gig files. They weren't audio files i was using either. The thing that sux the worst was it would lock up the system when it created one of the files. Any clues.?
thanks
adam

Go to Setups-->Preferences-->Operation, and on the right hand side, set open ended record allocation to a number (I use 70 minutes) instead of use all available disk space.

Hi,

Just remember that in quick punch, you are recording as soon as you start the transport, only the region from when you punched in and out will then show in the track, but the whole complete file is also recorded and kept! this file will be from when you started playback till when you punched out or stopped the transport.
