AD8000 with HD

Hi all
Just upgraded to HD with a 192 i/o and the Digiwire-upgraded Prism ADA-8, all good save one problem. An Apogee AD8000 attached to the Legacy Port of the 192 produces a seriously distorted analog output, particularly on transients. I have tried all different Loop Sync and Word Clock patches but no luck (the studio runs off a DCS Master Clock). I know people are running AD8000s in HD without problems, any ideas?
