I have purchased a used m-box 3 from a guitar center out of state that was listed as "with" software. I asked if it had the ilok as well as the disk and activation card and he said it's all there. My question is, how likely is it that I will run into problems getting the pro tools express to install/run if it's been activated once before. I'm not positive that it has but it is a concern of mine. Any input will be much appreciated.

It's most likely a restocked item. GC should know to check with Avid to see if the activation has been used or not, and if it has, to include a new one.

If you got it at a discount because it was a restock item, then I would take them at their word and just wait for it to arrive. Nothing you can really do until you get it.

But if you paid the same price as a new/unopened item, then I would cancel the order and ask them to send you a new one.

Either way, it is the dealer's responsibility to provide what they sold you.

Thanks for the info hopefully it works fine. And no worries when it comes to a return, that's why I chose guitar center instead of ebay; and I got a better deal.
