Default IO and bus labels do not turn yellow when in use

Hi
Was wondering if anyone else seen this, and if anybody knows a different solution than trashing the IO setup/prefs and configure again. (which is a bit of pain)

A studio with PT HDX 12.4.1 (if I am not mistaken, latest version that runs under 10.8, I am not there right now) has a detailed IO setup, in most sessions it works fine, but in some sessions the used IO or used busses do not turn yellow in the IO/busses list.

He is on an (approved) Mac Pro, HDX1, uses both PT10 and PT12, and therefor he is still on MacOSX 10.8.5.
(sorry, I don't have all his details here)

Thanks, Daniel
