Default Upgrading plugins on PT10

I am still using PT10 until the prices drop for the upgrades. However everything is pretty good & PT10 suits me well now.The xpand plugin that came with it is terrific. However I heard Xpand!2 has been released & is compatible with other DAWs I have such as Cubase & Logic x..I'm not sure if there are any more updates for PT10,but I was wondering if there is a way I can update at least the plugins to the latest version. If so are the updates free for PT10 owners? How do I go about updating plugins?

V2 is not free, it's a paid upgrade from V1. It's also now owned by Avid, it's a third party now.

Thanks for the response. I opened up PT10 after a couple of weeks & it said 'required software extensions are missing'.Never had this message before. When I cancelled & went ahead I was getting a DAE error-something about Xpand. What is going on?
Also is the Xpand plugin on Pro tools usable with Logic x since they have updated Xpand2 for AU & VST compatibility ?

JC, have you tried to delete databases and preferences, repair disk permissions using Disk Utility, reboot, then launch PT again?

If that doesn't work I'd download the PT installer and other relevant software/plugins again, and re-install.
