Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 and PT is a no go - tons of errors

I had high hopes that the 2nd Gen Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 would be a great portable interface for me.
But for the last two days I have had nothing but problems with it on two different MacBook Pros, two different OS versions (Yosemite and Sierra,) multiple USB cables, multiple USB 2.0/3.0 ports/hubs, placing my PT session on different kinds of hard drives (FW 800 and USB 3.0) with the Focusrite driver/software installed and without it (using "class compliant" mode in OS X,) with Disc Cache on/off, and with all versions of PT from PT 10.3.10 up to and including PT 12.6.

No matter what, after anywhere from immediately to around 20 min or so, PT throws a -6101 error and immediately after that throws a Video Engine error, and from that moment on, will no longer work until I reboot.

Focusrite tech support was a total joke. They referred me to a document about "optimizing a computer for audio."

If I plug an old Mbox 2 in to either computer I've been using, it works like a charm -- even with old drivers and unsupported in PT 12.

But this Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 just cannot work for long without causing PT to throw errors that stop me in my tracks.

HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS!?!? I'm extremely disappointed and totally out of troubleshooting options.

Sounds like you may have a defective unit. Wish I could offer more, but I've not used a Scarlett. I've been very happy with my Saffire though. If it were me, I'd return it for a replacement, or a refund and go with something else.

Oh yes, I threw mine in the garbage.

Problems to switch sample rate, hardware noise...just search Scarlett 6i6 here on the DUC to read the threads.
