Default Session must be on an audio record volume

Hi just built my machine with one 270. 2 gigs of corsair. Just installed protools LE 7.1 When i try and make a session. I get asn error "Session must be on an audio record volume" I have three drives one for OS one for Applictions and one for recording. how cani fix this...thanks

1) Open the Workspace Browser.

2) From within the Workspace Browser, locate the drives that you intend to use as Record Volumes.

3) In one of the columns to the rigth of the drive/volume names column, you should see a column with "A" as the heading. Follow that column down to line where the drive name is listed. There will be a letter listed T, P, or R. Using you pointing device (mouse or trackball) you can click on the field and choose one of the following: T = Transfer Volume, P + Playback Volume, or R = Record Volume. SELECT "R".

Thanks tried that but it wont switch. It says "Music (my drive name) cannot be designated as and Audio Record Volume because it is not a valid audio voulme". I can switch the other drives. but not this one..

Hi, tried uninstalling and reinstalling PT7. Same thing. Still wont let me record onto this drive? any ideas? It only lets me create a session on my C:Windows drive. It wont let me record on the applications drive or my sessions/takes drive. thanks

The drive must be formatted as a basic drive, not a dynamic drive.

Microsoft Info on Basic Drive types

Pro Tools only supports basic drive types. Covered on page 11 of the Getting Started Guide.
