I have a Dual 2.7 PPC HD2, Original M-Box for LE.
Not very happy that I will now be left behind. I will not upgrade till there is something mind blowing.

Yup, G5 here. Is anyone considering going to a windows PC? You can still get PCI slots in them...

6 x G5 Dual-2.0 here. And that's without counting the FCP stations, which are still mostly G5s, except for the rendering master. Most are still rock-solid in 7.3 world (we don't care for the elastic stuff at work). Everything we need to do, we can do on this setup with great stability. We get about 1-2 crashes a week, all systems and software combined (that's 6 PT studios, 4 FCP stations and 11 other systems).

The eventual upgrade will cost us for sure, but these systems repaid themselves a few years ago, so we'll have had 2-3 years of solid profit out of the machines. My calculations place us solidly in the green after the upgrade. When you plan ahead and accept that you don't need the latest latest toys all the time, the upgrade strategy for Digi systems isn't as catastrophic as some of you make it out to be.

Dual 2.7 G5 here. It's slow and sounds like a damn vacuum cleaner.

I'm moving my studio across the country so I can't afford an upgrade right now. I hope everything keeps working or else I will just have to use my LE laptop system.

A couple of dualG5 2.x workstations HD1 and HD2Accels. Running a combination of 7.3.1 and 7.4.2.
Don't envision any forward movement until something drastic happens.

BTW had to replace one of the computers last year, at the time it was pretty easy to find one for about $800, don't imagine that'll change much for a few years.

One G5 and three G4's here. (only one G4 is HD - the other two are Mix Systems). We have three MacPro's and a Mini as well.

We get the upgrade path laid out by Apple.

We still feel like PT9 should kill the PPC, not 8.0.3.

Our G5/MacPro systems dual boot between 7/8.
