frustration

Hi, just want to shout out my frustration about Pro Tools . I run Pro Tools 12.5 on Windows 8.1 and there are a few things there are really annoying.

First if I wanna close Pro Tools the program never reacts to that and I always have to force it to quit.

Secound the Audio Suite Gain doesn´t analyze sometimes. Its just random if its analyzing the gain or not.

Same problem with bouncing a clip (shift+strg+k). Sometimes it works and sometimes just not.

Had exactly the same problems with PT 12.3 and nothing changed with the new version.

I know these are just small issues, but it really interrupt the workflow if it occurs very often. And thats the case.

I really really hope they will fix these issues.

Have you reported these issues at protools.ideascale.com? Have you opened a support case with Avid about any of these issues?

Are you sure, that there is no uncleared search in the clip list and that "show auto-created" is checked ?

When it is not analyzing, do you get the message "No audio was selected" ?

Hi thanks for your reply. No haven´t done it yet. Will do that thanks.

@joachim: I selected an audio clip and this message didnt show up. Sometimes the value is absolutely wrong or doesn´t even change from the prior clip value. After some clicks on the analyze button it can happen that it works again, sometimes it doesn´t help. And sometimes it works again on the whole clip if I first make a selection within the clip and click at analyze. (so analyzing value on whole clip seems to be not right, make a selection and analyze and after that on the whole clip again and value is different) makes absolutely no sence for me but ok.

And the problem with bouncing a clip is that the key combination (shift+strg+k) sometimes doesn´t work. If thats the case I have to double click on the clip, copy the name, search in the cliplist and with right mouse button export media. But that´s not that annoying like the way that audio suit gain works^^

Weird.
My assumptions were wrong.
Maybe a repair-install could help.

So you are also running PT12.5 on Windows 8.1? If not, starting a new thread with all of your current system details will be more likely to bring the help you are seeking.
