CoreAudio Manager and Snow Leopard
Here's a simple question...Is the standalone CoreAudio Manager (version 7.4.2) compatible with Snow Leopard?
Thanks. |

Re: CoreAudio Manager and Snow Leopard
That doesn't mean the Coreaudio Manager does not work. I guess a better question is has anyone used the Standalone Coreaudio Manager with Snow Leopard?

Re: CoreAudio Manager and Snow Leopard
Unfortunately, it does mean the CoreAudio Manager might not work. It's not to say that it won't work, there are people who have had sucess. But I wouldn't invest in anything yet until SL is verified.

Re: CoreAudio Manager and Snow Leopard
Sounds like good advice, but I'm not running PT on this laptop. I'm simply using the CoreAudio to run my laptop sound through a 002Rack. Maybe I'll wait for Digi to qualify SL anyway.

Re: CoreAudio Manager and Snow Leopard
Considering that CAM Standalone version 7.4.2 was designed specifically for 10.5 and still has issues (esp. with USB interfaces) using it on 10.6 wouldnt be a good idea, its a total shot in the dark with an already somewhat funky version.
But I have seen post that people using Core Audio Manager installed from the Pro Tools 8.03pr release is working much better. So if you depend on it, you might try installing (buying?) Pro Tools instead, even if not using Pro Tools, since it looks like some bugs have been fixed and its more stable. my 2cents. Or you can wait... until the day comes that they rewrap it, or whatever it takes to give the stand alone version the love it needs to run on 10.5 and 10.6. One day. Its 'eminent'.
