Can you follow the instructions for posting a Sandra Report, under the "Help Us Help You" link on every DUC page. Copy and past the text from that report here, nobody asked for or wants an unreadable screenshot. There are many thousands of correct useful Sandra posts on DUC, search for some if those and post the exact same as those posts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: no audio
There is no obvious problem showing up with you Sandra report, and now we all know what computer you are in.
The Win 7 partition I am assuming you upgraded to Windows 10 and that is the partition you booted from right? --- So now what exactly are you doing? What monitors are the Saffire connected to? via what exact cables. What is the playback engine selected in Pro Tools? (Setup>Playback Engine). Edit: Your earlier screenshot shows Saffire, so that's good. What are all the options shown under the playback engine pulldown? What exactly happens? You are trying to play back prerecorded content or you are trying to track something? The transport appears to go into play and you hear nothing? Track and master fader meters in Pro Tools all move Pro Tool and you hear nothing? What exact driver version for your interface did you install? Is all this new to you? Pro Tools? Working with that interface and it's control panel? Does this session play elsewhere? One of the screenshots looks like you have all or at least a few VI tracks. You should start with a simple session with known good simple audio tracks... have you tried that? What standard troubleshooting have you tried.... Things like: Do you hear anything via the computer speakers if you select the PC audio as a playback engine? (to do that you need to either have an ASIO compatible sound card or ASIO4ALL installed on the PC, often worth doing as a test). If you close Pro Tools and select the interface as the Windows sound device do you hear Windows sounds and other apps through the interface? Trash Pro Tools prefs Test with headphones connected to the interface. Test with the a new simple session. Create an empty session, one stereo audio track and drag and drop a known good MP3 or similar file to that track. No master fader, no bussing nothing else. Press play. Do you hear anything out the interface? Track meters move? Posting screen shots of the Saffire control etc. may help. You can attach fairly large screenshots using the paperclip tool. Just trim the image down to the control window part and post that at full resolution. Last edited by Darryl Ramm; 05-07-2017 at 03:43 PM. |
