Default Xpand2 not working Mac patches none no sounds SOLVED

Problem: No sounds or patches on Xpand2, selector reads None. Mac OSX.
Caused by moving the user home directory.

Solution: Two User Accounts!

Start with a fresh OS (On startup hold Command-R). Use Disk Utility to partition your drives. Install a new OSX boot partition.

Create a 2nd user account "protools" dedicated to protools. Under "protools" user, install Pro Tools and Virtual Instruments, and all drivers and plugins on the boot partition.

Switch to your other (non-protools) user account, and now you can move that user home directory to another volume.

This allows you to re-install the boot partition, containing OSX and all Pro Tools software, without messing up your Mail, Bookmarks, Desktop, and Documents.

Use the dedicated "protools" user account for Pro Tools only.

Use your other (non-protools) user account for all non-protools work, email, and internet browsing, etc.

PS...I just appeared on America's Got Talent, NBC TV. LISTEN to my first single on iTUNES! https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/yo...le/id661768590

OSX Solution:
1. Sign in to your Avid Account
2. Go to My Products and Subscriptions
3. Locate your Pro Tools Version and click the pull down arrow
4. Click "show" near Product Details and Download Links
5. Locate, download and install the Air Creative Collection Installer 11.x (Mac) and/or Avid Virtual Instruments Installer 10.x(Mac) depending on your version of Pro Tools.
6. Restart your computer.

*I tried downloading the installer months back and it kept saying it was corrupt. I recently downloaded it again and it installs fully. Now after several attempts at relocating and renaming XPand!2.big to Xpand!2.big, Xpand2.big, Xpand!X......without success, I can now say I have been successful! Hopefull it works for you too.

1. Look in Applications and see if Air as well as Avid Directories are both in there. If they are go to step 6.

2. If you have only Air in the Applications Directory download Avid Virtual Instruments, install it and test Xpand2.

3. If still not working.

4.Then
Close ProTools

5. Now look in Applications and see if Air and Avid directories are both in there.

6. If they are then remove the Air one by placing it in the trash bin.

7. Now ProTools will Prompt you for a location of the .big file each time you try to insert a instrument plugin.

8. Click Browse

9. Browse to Applications/Avid/Avid Virtual Instruments/Xpand2 or whichever file name of the plugin you are inserting.

10. Click Open

Xpandi2 works.
