No Sound at master output

Hi

I have one session that has suddenly got no sound at the master though the meters are showing activity on channel strips it used to work and there is nothing muted

other sessions work through same speakers, output etc

I have changed i/o and put it back to, deleted master fader took all instert from master

It's hard for me to see clearly from your screenshot, but it looks like you have loop playback on. Are you sure you are looping over an area that has audio?

If you create a new session and import a couple of tracks from this session, can you hear audio?

Try opening a working session, saving the I/O maps in it then using that saved map in the not working session.

It is isolated to this session and the settings are the same in other projects

I tried to import them - no change

I did notice the hard drive was quite full and I've cleared a load of space could this stop playback as the i/o looks fine


I just went back into it and when I solo some tracks they play but when I have all solo off - no sound
I have committed all instruments and brought the CPU load down

I have an artist mix controller ?

You must have a track soloed somewhere in the session. Do you have any inactive tracks? Check in the panel to the left of the screen.

Nope I've checked everywhere and deleted hid and inactive tracks

I've removed any inserts that where inactive

Audio comes through on meters but only works when I solo the track or tracks ??

Try bypassing all of your inserts. See if audio is heard then. If it does, then perhaps an insert is soloed.

2 things:
#1-you can clear all Solo by hitting the yellow S near the top of the EDIT window(near the counter)

#2-try changing the output(of any track) and see if it is showing your output option as an Output, or a Bus. The reason I say this is because its possible to have a bus with the same name as the main out, but audio goes nowhere. I had this happen on my rig twice and it drove me nuts until I discovered the issue. I kept hearing everything during playback, but a Bounce was missing several tracks(because they were feeding this bogus bus that was named exactly the same as my main output path("Main Out L/R"). Once I deleted the bus(IO setup>Bus tab), the issue cleared up

Weird it was the Air Phaser and it wasn't solo'd
