Default Track presets and mute/solo remembering?

Is it possible for a track preset to remember a track's solo or mute status? I don't see that as an option in the 'what to recall' window. Or am I missing something? I'm setting up some presets where it would be nice if I could have the preset come up with a certain configuration as to solo/mute. Particularly solo safe.

Something I noticed when saving a preset that I previously worked on using the same name it doesn't ask if I want to overwrite the existing preset or not.

I have no idea, but why not open that template file (rename to .ptx) and make the changes, save, rename back, and try if it works?

Concerning solo safe it definitely does work.

It's not a template but a track preset which has a different suffix. Or are you saying to make the changes to the preset, save it as a template (.ptxt) and then change the suffix back from .ptxt to the track preset suffix?

That's what he meant, yes. You can just save any session as a track preset by changing the suffix and moving it to the track preset folder.

That's right. PT track preset is a session file that has .ptxp suffix. If found from right place it is nicely integrated to the system.

You should be able to freely edit the presets by renaming the suffix to .ptx and back to .ptxp again
