Help! Pro-tools "quits unexpectedly" when I launch plug-in

Please help me. I'm using M-box with Pro-tools LE 6.2.2 and it keeps "quitting unexpectedly" when I try and launch certain plug-ins (ie PS-01 series, B4 ..etc) These have all worked fine in the past and other plug-ins (Atmosphere, Stylus..etc) I use launch with no problem.
It also means old projects which use the affected plug-ins won't open because it quits when it gets to loading those plug-ins.
I did delete a folder not long back which may have contained some data for the now affected plug-ins but is there a way to load affected projects and by-passing the affected plug-ins, then simply replace them with new ones?
And how do I find where the plug-ins are stored on my HD?

Please help, I don't want to lose all my old projects!

Navigate to Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins. Move the 'troublesome' plug-ins from here to the adjacent folder, 'Plug ins (unused)'.

PT should launch and any sessions with the (moved) plug ins should load but with them inactive.

If you suspect that the problem is missing plug -in components, it might be worth a clean install of those plugs first.

Thank you so much. Old projects now load with the troublesome plug-ins inactive. I will try a clean install of them which I'm sure will work.

Thanks for sorting out this problem a while ago. But I have moved house since then and can't find any of the disks for a clean install of the Ultimate Sound Banks Plugsound series. They still appear in the Plugsound folder on my hard drive as .dat files. However if I move the plug-ins back into the plug-in used folder the same problem occurs.
Do you know of a way to remedy this without the need of a clean install?

The .dat are actually the sound files and cannot work without the corresponding plug-in software. You can download the installers from the site,
