Default Surround Decoding and Bass Management

Hey All,

I'm looking for a surround decoder that can pretty much do it all, from AC-3, to Dolby Surround, to DTS, and downmixing. I really like the Dolby decoder, but it's way pricey. Anything equivalent, but less expensive out there.

Also, what are most of you all out there using for bass management? I don't have it yet, but I've heard the Kind of Loud bass management is rather poor. Anyone?

Thanks,
Jeff Merkel
