Default ASIO Driver beta2 and instruments in Cubase SX

Come somebody help me with this?

I just installed the 2nd beta version of the ASIO driver provided by Digi.
Beside ProTools i use Cubase SX. This works properly with the driver, but I have one problem. When I try to use an instrument in SX and link it on a midi track, there's no output.

Is there someone who have experienced the same problems? Is this a known issue on the driver of are my setting not correct?
I know the midi ports cannot be used when using the ASIO driver. But this is only the hardware midi port, isn't it ???

Would be great is someone could help me with this.

Question for you guys in this thread, sorry, I don't have an answer for your problem but I figure you may be able to help me

It looks like you're running Pro Tools LE on Windows XP, using the latest ASIO drivers, correct?

What do you do for real-time soft-synths?
RTAS plug-in instruments or samplers in Pro Tools LE?
Cubase SX VSTi?
What about latency?

The ASIO driver for Cubase SX had horrible latency with real-time soft-synths until I used the DirectX/DirectSound driver.

I'm considering a DigiDesign/ProTools combination but I'm running Windows XP (P4 2.53Ghz machine) and have no intention right now to get a Mac G4, though this does seem the "right" way to go with DigiDesign stuff right now.
