Default ASIO driver vs DIGI 001

So, someone sent me the ASIO driver i needed to access Reason, but now REASON says that the soundcard is in use by another application.
How can this be?
Nothing else is running.
I tried both soundcard setups using the Sound manager in the control panel, and neither way worked.
Whats up??

thanks.

I had the same problem at first. Try quitting out of every program, then restart. Just make sure you don't have any other audio programs running with Reason. (i.e. PT, iTunes, or whatever)

DAE stays resident after quitting Pro Tools. Quit DAE as well. If that isn't the problem, try trashing your Reason Prefs, and replace the driver with a clean version (if you still have the original attachment). I had a similar problem because I had somehow corrupted the ASIO driver in the process of getting everything to work. I had to download a new file and do it again. Good luck.
