I/O settings changed when upgraded to 8.0.4

I've just updated to version 8.0.4 and when i've tried to open up a session its comes up with a message saying the I/O settings have changed since i last opened up the session and to check to setup.

When i try to play the session i cannot hear anything - nothing comes out of my speakers or headphones. I have checked the I/O setup and compared the last saved setup to the current and as far as i can tell the previous saved setup was shown as an Mbox 2 with inputs 1,2,3,4 and the new setup is 'Digidesign Mbox 2' with inputs Analog 1 & 2 and S/DIFF 1 & 2.

What do i have to do to be able to hear my session again? I'm sure its something really simple....

Have you tried clicking the "default" button on all tabs of the I/O dialog box?


To what value(s) are your track outputs set? Could you possibly post screenshots of your I/O Dialog's output tab for us?

I'm having the same problem too, though the first time it occured Pro Tools went back to normal after I rebooted the computer, though the same problem is back now again..

Defaulting all the tabs on the I/O dialog box doesn't seem to help..
