Multiple open sessions in same project folder?
Hi there,
For as long as i've worked on shared storage, NEXIS/DDP etc, myself and others have been working on sessions within the same project folder. For example, for FX, we would have someone on one rig cutting BG's, another cutting Spots, and maybe another doing sound design etc, all working on the same shared storage, working in the same folder. project folder - Audio Files - Session file backups - FX_bg session.ptx - FX_spots session.ptx - FX_sound design session.ptx Is this problematic? myself and others have been doing this for years, but after a few discussions, others warn it can cause session corruption? - have i just been lucky all this time.... |

Re: Multiple open sessions in same project folder?
The only issue I'd see is if you're doing a destructive process to a file that is used in more than one session. Hasn't been a problem when I've used shared storage like Nexis/Isis/Unity whatever they call it.
Even if they were in distinct folders they could still reference the same source files so nothing inherently bad about using a common folder.
