Pro Tools Ultimate Trial on a new computer not possible

I have a new computer and I would like to try if PT-Ultimate runs on it. I've already downloaded the trial for my old Mac one year ago but it didn't work because the computer was not supported. I even wasn't able to install the PT Ultimate trial. So I have never used it.
Today I wanted to try it on my new Mac but I can't download it, because it says that it is expired? How is this possible when I never could install the trial one year ago?
Is there a way to download this trial again? Does anyone has the same experience? Because before I buy it for the money I really like to test it first.
